Tips for HEALTHY WINTER SKIN

We here at Midnight Oil Soap  want to share a few tips to keep your skin healthy and beautiful through the winter.

                                      

 1. EXFOLIATE for CLEAR, BRIGHT SKIN

WHY?: Exfoliating skin removes dead, and dulling skin debris which prevent congestion and improves skin health.

WHAT TO DO: Using Midnight Oil Goat Milk Soap will NOT strip away any of your natural skin oils due to it has a pH very close to your skins pH.  Goat's milk soap is very hydrating and exfoliating in itself.  

PRODUCTS TO TRY:

~EXFOLIATOR it's "super power" is that it is an excellent scrubby soap,

~DETOX & PURIFY is a lovely "black soap" using activated charcoal. Really cleans out pores and moisturizes at the same time.

~SUGAR SCRUBBY SQUARES: a brilliant invention. No more scooping oil and sugar!!!  These little squares are perfect for exfoliating and moisturizing~ we love them!  a half a square will be enough for one use

 

2. HYDRATE YOUR SKIN

WHY: Hydrated skin is healthy skin, keeping wrinkles and crocodile skin at bay!  Skin heals faster and restores itself quicker when hydrated.

~ Any of our Goat Milk Soap

~ SHOWERS END a solid lotion bar to apply to clean, moist skin.

~ REJUVENATION FACE CREAM one of the BEST SELLERS

~ REJUVENATION NIGHT BALM this one is more greasy but very effective!

~ SUN LOTION our SUN SCREEN

~ SHAVING SOAP (for women and men) This is how we shave our legs here at Midnight Oil!

 

3. WHEN IN DOUBT (RE-APPLY)

WHY? Most people do not apply enough sunscreen and moisturizer in a day.  One application is not enough.  Apply frequently.

PRODUCTS TO TRY:

~ SQUEEZE TUBE LOTION: this is a lighter lotion, but very easily transported.  Keep in car, purse, gym bag, beach bag.

~ SHOWERS END a solid lotion bar

 

4. MAKE FRIENDS WITH H2O

WHY?: Heat, sun and exposure and just being out in the elements can cause internal dehydration. Dehydration can lead to dizziness, headaches and unhealthy skin.

WHAT TO DO:  We recommend 8 glasses of 8 ounces minimum of water a day. Always carry a bottle of water with you and drink plain water not sugary drinks or tea.  I fill a water bottle, every couple days, and leave it in the car. Drinking warm water is better then not!  This has been a life saver sometimes.
