The Morrigan rises from the ancient soil of per-Christian Ireland---daughter of the divine race, Tuatha De' Danann. The Tuatha De' Danann were a race of people that ruled Ireland before there were humans.  They are the stories of Fairies now, and are believed to live underground.

She is a Shapeshifter: The Morrigan appeared as a raven, wolf, cow, eel and even a young maiden or an old crone.  She didn't have one identity.  She moved between forms as a prophet and protector.  Though associated with battle, her deeper role was guiding destiny and clearing what no longer served.  Connected to the land itself, she embodied both fierce power and sacred rebirth--

The Morrigan is considered a Triple Goddess, but is not the Maiden-Mother Crone.  Her triple form is older and wilder than that.

She is often understood as three sisters---Badb, Macha, and Nemain--distinct yet moving as one force.

• Badb is the battle crow, voice of prophecy and truth. 
• Macha is the power of land itself, the sacred authority of sovereignty. 
• Nemain is the trembling edge of chaos that breaks what is unstable

Together they form The Morrigan--a unified current of fate, power and transformation.

Her triple nature does not represent states of womanhood.  It represents amplified strength. Layered wisdom. The ability to see what is coming, influence what unfolds, and clear what must end.

She is not gentle.

She is sovereign.
